What is strength training and how is it different to what’s out there?
This is NOT strength training:
Working with light resistance, weights included, gently with little rest between very light sets. You quickly get used to such loads and get no strength gain - it will be mostly aerobic!

This IS strength training.
Strength training is endorsed by every health organisation in the UK. But in practice very few people really strength train. Genuine strength training will provide startling results in terms of posture, ease of movement, and biological age.
Weights do not equal strength training. Strength training is about intensity, rest, practice and progression. 100m sprints are a form of strength/power training. But lifting weights for 12 exercises for 2 sets each in 45 minutes is most likely to be an aerobic endurance practice. Lifting as heavy as you can and resting for 60-300 seconds between sets is more representative of strength training.

A typical Strength Training class is
warm up
weights
balance work
cooldown

Our model client spends 6 to 18 weeks with us learning technique and developing their work output and strength. We recommended a workout partner to reduce the price, provide social connection, and increase commitment.

After that we will want to set you up with a small group – further reducing the cost. First into a group of two then when you are more technically competent and confident, a group of four. This is our maximum size for safety reasons. This level of exertion and the necessary technical performance requires a high level of individual supervision.
